January’s Top 5 Wedding Instagram Photos

January’s Top 5 Wedding Instagram Photos

Where has January gone! Here’s this month’s roundup of the most popular images I’ve posted on Instagram in  January that have had the most likes!  4 out of 5 were B&W so keeping with the trend, I’ve converted the last one into B&W too!  I’d love to hear from you if you like my work, are newly engaged or well settled into your relationship and looking for a Sussex & London based photographer to capture your wedding day celebrations. You can contact me here. Let me know more about what you have planned and we can chat though how I would cover your wedding day celebrations. Here are January’s top 5 Wedding Instagram Photos!

Bride waiting at the church door with her dad and bridesmaids, ready for the wedding

Harriet & Alex

This shot was taken just after Harriet with her Dad and bridesmaids arrived at church ready for the wedding! Harriet is beaming and everyone’s waiting nervously for the big entrance and for the wedding to begin.  I love capturing moments like this – real moments from a wedding day, not posed, set up ‘perfect’ moments. They mean so much more to my couples and Harriet will remember how she felt at this moment in time. They went onto the stunning Arley Hall for their wedding. Blog post coming soon!

Wedding ceremony at the mayors parlour, Islington Town Hall

Verity & Hugo

This was a small intimate wedding in the Mayor’s Parlour at Islington Town Hall, a very popular north London registry office. There were 3 guests in addition to the couple and the Mayor’s parlour is really perfect for small no-fuss weddings. This shot captures the two of them happily listening to the register as she’s welcoming them all and about to start the ceremony. I’ve shot lots of Islington weddings so take a look through my blog if you’re getting married there. I’d love to capture your wedding celebrations.

Bride smiling at her groom before their Town Hall Hotel wedding

Jess & Anthony

This was one of those moments that you have to watch out for – the moment Jess and Antony laid eyes on each other when Jess arrived at Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel for their wedding ceremony. Things happen so quickly when the actual ceremony is about to get underway. Some cry, some smile and kiss, others grin ear to ear! This happy twosome smiled and laughed their way through their wedding. They married in the Town Hall and went onto Christchurch Spitalfields for their wedding reception – two stunning London venues! Click here to see their wedding ceremony and here to see their wedding reception in full! You can’t script moments like this which is why I stay close to capture them naturally.

Bride and Groom attacking their wedding cake at their Hampton Court House wedding

Yasmin & Stuart

This gorgeous wedding at Hampton Court House was a smorgasbord of loveliness. You’ll have seen their photos on my home page! I love their enthusiasm and happiness in this shot as they prepare to cut their wedding cake. Who wants a stiff posed photo of the cake being cut? Real moments happen right across a wedding day and I love capturing things as they happen real time!  Want to see more of this wedding? Click here.

Bride and Groom kissing at their Somerset garden marquee wedding

Steph & Alex

Last one for this month comes from Steph & Alex’s garden marquee wedding in Somerset. They married in Glastonbury and after the ceremony, they all headed back to the field behind Alex’s mum’s house.  This is a real fave of mine and this shot was taken early evening when the light was beginning to fade and the lanterns were lighting up. I love the framing on this!

That’s all for this month! See you in Feb.
