Flora & Enzo — A Rain-Kissed, Joy-Filled Wedding at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton

Summer Wedding at brighton pavilion – flora & enzo

EMOTIONAL WEDDING & PARTY IN SUSSEX

Brighton’s Royal Pavilion is a totally unique venue in the heart of Brighton. With its incredible architecture, ornate interiors and historical significance, it’s a very popular wedding venue for those looking for the wow factor, and wanting a non-religious ceremony. I’ve photographed many weddings here in all the rooms over the last 10 years or so, and always love coming back.

Flora & Enzo had their summer wedding celebrations starting in the Red Drawing Room at the Royal Pavilion and then onto the Brighton Dome a stone’s throw away, two gorgeous historic venues in central Brighton.

The Backstory!

Some weddings stay with you, and Flora & Enzo’s beautiful summer celebration at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton is one I’ll never forget. Their story began six years before in Copenhagen, where Enzo was working as a chef, Flora as a waitress. Flora admitted she fancied him “madly” from the very start. A colleague, clearly recognising their potential, organised drinks to bring the two of them together. From that night onwards, they were completely smitten. and inseparable ever since.

The Ceremony in the Red Drawing Room at the Brighton Pavilion

Back in the UK and settled in Brighton, they organised a summer wedding at the Royal Pavilion and Dome, minutes from where they were living. Enzo’s closest family had flown in from Sicily, and spent the morning getting ready in a local Airbnb, while Flora prepared with her friends in their flat. Both travelled separately to the Royal Pavilion, carrying with them a quiet intensity and emotion, as this wedding was the moment they had waited for so long. Flora arrived in classic Italian Style in a vintage Alfa Romeo, and as she entered the Red Drawing Room, dodging the rain, Enzo couldn’t hold back his tears. Flora gently wiped them away as they stood together, ready to commit their lives to one another. Their ceremony was so intimate, deeply heartfelt, and overflowing with love. Both cried and laughed and cried again, huge tears of happiness as they were finally husband & wife!!

Photos on the Terraces

Once officially married, and after more tears, they headed out onto the terraces for the confetti run, followed by group photos. In the midst of this joyful chaos, one of their best friends announced a pregnancy, prompting even more tears from the newlyweds.

MY HIGHLIGHTS

Here’s a selection of my favourite images from the story of Flora & Enzo’s wedding at Brighton Pavilion & Brighton Dome

Champagne Celebrations at Brighton Dome

Their celebrations continued at the Brighton Dome, where guests were welcomed with champagne cocktails, oysters from Borough Market’s Oyster Borough, and the most gorgeous sunflower cake Made by Adele. The room buzzed as friends and family toasted the couple, sharing memories and laughter. It was high octane! Enzo’s brothers delivered speeches full of childhood stories and love for their oldest brother, and Flora’s friends matched that energy with stories of their own. And of course more tears. I’ve honestly not been to such an emotional wedding for a long time!

An Extraordinary Day filled with love!

Throughout the day, one thing was completely clear: Flora and Enzo were profoundly loved. The atmosphere in the Dome was so uplifting — a mixture of huge love and affection for this gorgeous larger than life couple, who seemed to have such an incredible zest for life. What an extraordinary day. A wedding filled with emotion, passion, laughter, tears, and an overwhelming sense of togetherness. It was a privilege to photograph, and I wish Flora and Enzo the most wonderful life together — a life as vibrant and joy-filled as their wedding day. Big Love x
