Little Oratory Wedding Photography – The Little Oratory on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge is a hidden treasure. Located right next to the V&A and tucked behind the main, very impressive London Oratory of St. Phillip Neri, is this beautiful little Italian Renaissance Chapel where Daisy & Andrew’s wedding was held last month. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day with not a cloud in the sky.
Their high catholic ceremony was accompanied by the incredible Choir of the London Oratory, who sang such emotive, beautiful and blissful songs accompanied by beautiful music in this stunning little chapel. The scene was set for a really special day. Daisy was calm and looked absolutely radiant in her exquisite long lace wedding gown. Andrew looked very dapper in his morning suit. The hats were out and there were even a few hat crashes! Despite the bright day outside, the chapel is quite low lit and it was a challenge to capture images that told the story whilst preserving the simple and beautiful atmosphere inside. As a London and Sussex wedding photographer, I avoid the use of flash so I’m used to photographing ceremonies and most of the day without the need for intrusive flashes going off every few seconds, distracting guests.
After the ceremony, their drinks reception was held upstairs in St Winifred’s hall where their guests were very well catered for with lots of champagne and copious amounts of delicious canapés. There were lots of children running around having fun, playing games and being very entertaining, and the mornings events saw a lovely gathering of both families and their closest friends celebrating and catching up with each other. There was a lovely murmur all morning as things bubbled along before a few speeches and the cutting of the wedding cake. Hopefully the images speak for themselves! I’ll be blogging part 2, the evening reception, which was held at Brooks’s Club, St. James separately as it has a very different feel to it, in the next few days! In the meantime, many congratulations again to Daisy & Andrew. If you’re getting married at this lovely little chapel and are yet to book your wedding photographer, get in touch via my contact form.
