St Mark’s Church Regents Park and the Honourable Artillery Company Wedding Photography
Liv & Charlie’s lovely Honourable Artillery Company winter wedding will get you in the mood for the coming winter months and get you longing for those long winter nights around a warm fire with a warming glass of cocoa or Malbec! All families were London based so a central London venue was an easy choice with links to the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) it was the perfect venue to host their big pre-Christmas wedding. Liv and her family got ready in a fabulous apartment a stones throw from Regent’s Park, whilst Charlie and his groomsmen were supping pints and having an early lunch before the ceremony. There was a real festive atmosphere in the air with twinkly lights, yummy treats and everyone in the best of moods looking forward to the day’s celebrations. Liv was surrounded by family, sisters and children who kept us entertained all morning until they were ready to head off to church – Liv in that gorgeous dress with her Dad in a fabulous vintage roller, ready to get married!
Documentary Wedding Photography – Capturing the Moments
Charlie didn’t know where to look as Liv entered St Mark’s church and after their beautiful service, the crowd headed outside awaiting the newly weds with sparkers instead of confetti – can’t tell you how excited the kids were! Champagne was hastily served as guests headed onto buses whilst I headed off with Liv & Charlie for a few romantic photos. The air was crisp and very cold but they kept each other warm until we headed over to the HAC for drinks and dinner. The big festive crowd were buzzing with expectations for a great party ahead and were noisy and happy as we arrived. Weddings at this time of year really do capture that uplifted pre-christmas spirit and happy excitement of lots to eat and drink, letting your hair down and having fun.
Wedding Celebrations at the Honourable Artillery Company
After copious amounts of champagne, guests slowly made their way up to the main hall for dinner where the room was filling up, waiters buzzing around filling up glasses and getting ready for a busy dinner service. Speeches first with the usual trio of Father of the Bride, Groom then Best Men, two in this instance! Too many embarrassing stories later with lots of laughter and a very red Charlie, dinner was served and everyone settled in for the night. For documentary wedding photographers, big weddings like this give loads of opportunities to capture candid moments of guests enjoying themselves and being a less self conscious and definitely extravert crowd they provided us with some lovely moments! As the night wore on, the party got going and the band started, Liv and Charlie danced the night away with their friends and we headed off at about midnight.
