Winter Wedding Photography – Kent wedding photographer

Winter Wedding Photography – Kent wedding photographer.  For my last wedding of 2014 I headed over to Kent on a crisp, bright December day for Lindsay and Andy’s wedding. They wanted a low key family celebration followed by a big party with all their friends and chose do both together, in style on New Year’s Eve. Both Lindsay and Andy are very close to their families and with three lovely kids of their own, they wanted a child friendly, family oriented day so they chose to get married at Ripley, a quirky little arts centre in Bromley, followed by a long, relaxed lunch with all their closest family and friends at The Bickley in Chislehurst with bigger things planned for the evening!

Lindsay got ready at her parents home surrounded by her sisters, mum, bridesmaids and flower girls. With the christmas decorations and fairy lights still twinkling, the girls’ excitement as they got into their little princess dresses was magical! There was lots going on throughout the house but Lindsay was calm and just a little nervous about the big day ahead. Sparkly heels on, make-up done and stunning dress fitting beautifully, they headed off in a wedding taxi to Ripley where Andy and their wedding guests were waiting.  Andy was literally stunned when he saw his beautfiul bride to be walking down the short aisle towards him and guests said later that they’d never seen him so happy! Lindsay was radiant and you could feel the emotional atmosphere in the room as they said their vows and were finally pronounced husband and wife. They’d waited a long time for this day and the happiness, smiles and love were so apparent.

After some confetti we all headed off to the Bickley which was festively decorated for welcoming drinks and a few group photos before lunch started. There was no formality at all – no speeches or big fuss was made, they simply wanted a laid back lunch with all their guests. It was a really welcoming family atmosphere, with kids running around playing and getting sugar highs, everyone enjoying the champagne and absolutely delicious food with wine flowing. So much catching up, laughter and a few birthday celebrations added in. Just wonderful!

Credit to Tina and her team at Tijeanne Consulting who meticulously planned the entire day and to all the staff at the Bickley who looked after everyone so well. So here are a few shots from the first part of the day – as I covered their epic New Year’s Eve party until the wee hours I’ll post part two later this week. Enjoy!
