Wedding Photography Workshop with KHS photography

Spring has finally sprung! The daffs, tulips and blossoms are all out brightening things up and last week I was out and about doing a wedding photography workshop. I spent 3 days in sunny Buckinghamshire with Kate Hopewell-Smith Photography and a small bunch of lovely photographers doing an intensive wedding workshop in gorgeous Chetwode & Stowe – if you haven’t been, its a stunning place so make an excuse to go visit. Stowe is an absolute must!!

We spent a few days in the very intensive workshop doing some very hands training with Kate, covering all aspects of the business of photography, and getting some tailored training for our own photographic/ business issues, followed by a full on shoot on day 2 at 3 different venues including various locations at Stowe. Managing to avoid the predicted rain for most of the last day, the clouds finally rolled in and heavens opened up in the last hour. We all got pretty soaked but happily tired, we wrapped things up and headed off in our respective directions, newly inspired.

Kate’s a fantastic, well established and down-to-earth trainer (Aspire, Nikon, KHS training) who invests a lot of time and energy into her courses. She literally didn’t stop for the duration of the course, and is clearly madly passionate about what she does. If you’re looking for a good wedding photography workshop, an intensive refresher and some inspiration, check Kate out. You won’t be disappointed.

Coming away newly inspired, here are a some of my fave shots from the workshop. Big thanks to Zara Watson and Michael Porter who were our amazing models, and thanks to all those suppliers who collaborated on the shoot. Most of all huge thanks to Kate Hopewell-Smith for an amazing few days.
