Last week took me back up to Birmingham again for a few days to attend what may well be Steve Gerrard’s last UK wedding photography workshop. Steve’s a totally cool music and wedding photographer who I met last year and given that he’s leaving Blighty later this year for the sunnier climes of Montreal with his young family, I was really keen to do this workshop. As a creative wedding photographer, I’m always keen to keep learning, experimenting and developing, particularly from those who’ve been in the industry a lot longer than I have, and I had an eye-opening and jam-packed day with Steve and a bunch of fab wedding photographers.
Steve’s work totally rocks – its dynamic, edgy, dramatic as well as highly emotive – he lives and breathes music and photography and is a totally fab person to hang out with and learn from. The group really clicked and we had a long old day together including a few hours shooting in some of Birmingham’s not so pretty but colour and texture rich backstreets. Here are a few of my fave shots from the day. Huge thanks to you Steve, it was a real pleasure and thanks for sharing some of your experiences and lots of wisdom. Rock on!!!
Love this set Mona!! Amazing work! Was a pleasure meeting you also at the workshop!
Andrew.
