This lovely post features a Marriage Proposal in Brighton’s Royal Pavilion. And she said Yes!  Yesterday was a first for me as I was asked to cover a marriage proposal at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion. It’s a venue I shoot at a lot and a proposal that had been in the planing for a while. What an honour!!

Toby Loves Emma

Toby contacted me a few weeks before to check my availability to cover this very special moment for him as he was planning to ask his gorgeous girlfriend of 3-years Emma, to marry him. As it was Emma’s birthday, he’d arranged a lovely day full of surprises for her, starting with afternoon tea at the Pavilion. What a guy!

A day of Surprises!

Toby had secretly arranged for their favourite acoustic guitarist, singer-songwriter Alex to come all the way down from London to the Pavilion in East Sussex, just to perform some of her favourite tracks for them in the stunning Music Room, as a surprise treat for Emma’s birthday, after which he was going to propose. The events team at the Pavilion were all in on the plan and as it was happening towards the end of the day, we’d hoped there wouldn’t be too many visitors around so they’d be sharing a very special moment together. And that’s when I came in…. it was a real art trying to take photos without bringing lots of attention to myself in a public building!  But it was an exciting moment and thankfully, it all went to plan. Emma was totally thrown and completely delighted and beaming when Toby got down on bended knee and popped the question!

Of course she said yes!

Here’s a little peek!! What a special moment to have witnessed. Thanks so much for asking me to capture it and huge congratulations again to Emma and Toby. If you’re getting married at Brighton Pavilion, I’ve photographed lots of weddings winter and summer in all the rooms, click HERE to take look or HERE to contact me. I’d be delighted to hear from you.
