May’s Top 5 Wedding Instagram Photos

Back so soon! Here are May’s top 5 wedding Instagram photos – the ones that got the most ‘likes’ for you to take a peek at. Naturally, each and every couple whose wedding I photograph are different and so each and every wedding is different. My approach has always been an organic one – I photograph what I see in the moment, rather than having set routines and set poses that I use each time. Couples place importance on different things on their wedding day – for some, the ceremony is the most important thing, others its the party, some want a big gathering of all their families and that feeling of togetherness, some want it to be all about the kids or maybe it’s all about them, just kicking back enjoying and relaxing on their big day. Whatever it is, I work closely with my couples to ensure I capture the day of their dreams.  If you’re on my site, chances are you’re looking for a wedding photographer so if you like my work and would like to chat more, get in touch here.

Harriet & Alex

First up is a shot from Harriet’s preparations at home in Macclesfield before their church wedding and celebrations at the stunning Arley Hall. Here, Harriet’s mum and sister are helping to do up the  buttons on her wedding dress, moments before she leaves to marry her sweetheart Alex. Harriet is a bundle of nerves and excitement, looking every inch the radiant bride. Watch out for the full blog on this gorgeous wedding to follow!

Craig & Stephen

This happy photo was from Craig & Stephen’s London wedding, in Blackheath. They married in a small hotel, in a tightly packed ceremony room, surrounded by all their fave people. There was singing and laughter and lots of smiles as you can see. Love capturing unscripted moments like these!

Farah & Hossein

Hossein is showered with rice and gold coins as he comes into the room Farah is in after they have both signed their marriage contract, to take his place by her side. This fabulous Persian wedding will be hitting my gallery shortly.

Jane & David

This simple photo shows of Jane’s gorgeous bouquet from her winter wedding at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion. They married in the Red Drawing room, during a late afternoon ceremony – it was dark and fairly cold outside but Jane kept warm with her lovely warm jacket. Following the ceremony we headed off to the Hotel Du Vin just off the seafront, a lovely boutique hotel where they celebrated into the wee hours!

Sarah & Matt

Here, Sarah’s just arrived for her wedding to Matt at Oatlands Park Hotel in Surrey. Sarah, a talented designer, made her own wedding dress with the help of one of her friends. They wanted very hands off discreet coverage with as little involvement as possible, which is the essence of documentary coverage. No intervening. No direction. The wedding just flows and I capture moments as they happen. If this kind of coverage is what you’re looking for, I’d love to hear from you. Contact me here.
