As a creative documentary wedding photographer, I shoot a lot of weddings in London as well as all across Sussex and the home counties, and I often get the chance to asked as a London Event Photographer to provide coverage for all kinds of London events too. Recently I had the opportunity of shooting at London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House. The main fashion week was showcasing all the major designer’s Spring/Summer beautiful 2014 collections, and naturally attended by all the movers and shakers of the fashion world, celebs and more….. it was definitely the place to be if you’re a fashionista! For anyone who’s shot fashion before, they’ll know that this is a high octane event.
London Fashion Weekend was a little more relaxed than the main event, and was showcasing the current trends in the trend-setting catwalk shows in the official British Fashion Council show space. For once I wasn’t on my own as I was shooting with a couple of talented photographer friends of mine, Monica & Darren (you can check out Monica’s quirky, arty work here Monjii Art and Darren’s fabulous portrait work here Darren Flynn Photography) and what an experience it was. There was a bit of jostling for space and a few elbows – but we managed to get the front row and stayed put!!
As a London event photographer, its great to have the opportunity to cover a wide variety of events. I’ve covered all kinds of events this year…. competitions, fashion shows, political events, diners, presentation events, lunches, TV recorded events, birthday parties, PR launches to name a few…. so if you’ve an event you’d like photographic coverage of get in touch!!
