Laura & Will’s Itchenor Sailing Club wedding took place on a lovely summer’s day, starting with Will’s preparations in Gosport. On this wedding I was second shooting and assisting the lovely Kate from LucaBella photography who was covering the bride Laura’s preparations in Chichester. When a couple are preparing in different locations, it’s not always possible to photograph both their preps so that’s where a second pair of hands comes in handy!
After Will and his groomsmen were ready, from Gosport we all headed to St James’s church in Birdham and as you can see Will arrived in style! Guests slowly gathered basking in the sunshine awaiting the arrival of the bride. The pretty church was a welcome respite from the hot sun and as soon as Laura arrived, their ceremony got underway. Back into the sunshine for confetti and lots of hugs, and the happy wedding party headed off to Itchenor Sailing Club a stunning riverside venue a short drive away for the wedding reception.

The sailing club just outside of Chichester was a perfect location for a relaxed summer wedding, with the fresh cool summer air and wonderful jazzy tone of their drinks reception, guests mingled whilst watching the sailboats sail by. After a lot of chilling and catching up, game playing, walks on the jetty, and a few photos with the newly weds, guests headed into the dining room which had been beautifully decorated with roses and peonies, bunting and elegant candles, ready for dinner.

Guests were treated to a wonderful relaxing dinner, followed by all the speeches and thank you’s to a happy and very lively crowd with standing room only at the back! Live bands are always the way to go, so when their band started up over in the clubhouse, Laura & Will had their first dance soon to be followed onto the dance floor by their friends and things started to get a bit wild! Lovely couple, lovely wedding, lovely vibe, lovely venue!
