Italian Destination Wedding Photography
In September, after a long hot summer season, I headed off to a small town called Santa Maria Di Castellabate, on the Italian Coast south of Naples with a gorgeous bunch of other talented photographers to attend the Secret Retreat, a very special Italian wedding workshop. Every year I do a few well selected workshops to keep learning, developing my style, my business and just to try new things. As most busy wedding photographers know, photography takes over your life so it’s sometimes hard getting non-photographers to understand the stuff that gets us so excited – and not just the nerdy gear stuff either! To be in the company of all these incredible women, talented photographers and now friends, was one of the highlights of my year. So a HUGE thank you to all of you who made is so special for me xx
Creative Wedding Photography
In any walk of life, it’s so, so important to keep learning and doing new things, not getting stuck in your routines or usual way of doing or approaching things, not getting stuck creatively or to stop looking around and learning. Keeping your metaphorical axe sharpened is the lifeblood of any creative work. And as all creatives know, you never get ‘there’ wherever there is…. you just keep moving forward. This is a great industry to work in and the amazing talent collective that is The Secret Retreat are exemplary ambassadors of wedding photography. Thank you Claire, Andrea, Julie, Emily, Lucy & Mandy.
Documentary, Relaxed Wedding Photography
We learnt, worked, shot, discussed, ate amazing Italian food, drank copious amounts of Italian prosseco, danced, partied and celebrated together. Some fast friendships were formed and we all had lots and lots of amazing moments together. Our days were crammed full of incredible things, moments, revelations and inspiration…. including 3 beautiful styled Italian Destination Weddings, and here finally, is the first of them featuring the gorgeous Magda and Pietro. Two of the coolest people EVER and a gorgeous free spirited couple! If you’re looking for a wedding photography workshop with a difference, check them out. And if you’re looking for a destination wedding photographer for your Italian wedding or wherever it may be, get in touch, I’ve a fancy camera bag on wheels that just loves to travel 🙂
