Hope you’ve all had a great Christmas! I’ve had a busy December with quite a few winter weddings during the month, mostly in London and all with late ceremonies. If you’re planning a winter wedding next year, it’s well worth arranging an early ceremony so the light is on your side! Choosing an experienced photographer who can handle low-light situations, dark venues or late weddings will make all the difference, if capturing your wedding and the atmosphere as you intended it is important to you.
December’s Top 5 Wedding Instagram Photos
Following on from my post last month, here’s this month’s roundup of the most popular images I’ve posted on Instagram this month that have had the most likes! With such a busy month I’ve not posted that many images, but there are some lovely ones in here to share. Without further ado, here are December’s top 5 wedding instagram photos. If you like my work, engaged for a while or newly engaged and looking for a photographer to capture your wedding naturally, without the photography taking over, drop me a line here. I’d love to hear more about what you have planned and to chat though how I would cover your wedding day celebrations. See you in the New Year!!
Lauren & Greg
I love the absolute joy in this photo and the sheer happiness on Greg’s face as they walk out into the sunshine just after their ceremony at Islington Town Hall, straight into the confetti! It was a spectacularly gorgeous bright and sunny winter day and this photo says it all really! I’ve shot quite a few weddings at this very popular north London town hall all year round.
Sam & John
Another joyous moment as Sam & John are pronounced married at their 30 Pavilion Road wedding earlier this month. I LOVE it when couples express how they feel during those moments that matter and aren’t afraid of bit of PDA! Their 6pm wedding started after dark, with the fires lit, this gorgeous venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was standing room only at the back of the Stone Hall as they made their way up to start their celebrations.
Farah & Hossein
This shot was taken in woodlands in north London, half an hour before Farah & Hossein’s guests arrived to witness their traditional Iranian wedding ceremony at home. We had literally four minutes before the rain started (and it didn’t stop all day) before heading back inside. Sometimes you just have to take the opportunities when you get them – even if time is limited. Despite the cold, Farah’s huge smile says it all!
Lauren & Greg
After their ceremony, their guests (many of them Northerners), headed off on a short bus tour of the City. We had a short amount of time for some photos featuring the city which Lauren & Greg were really keen on, particularly as we were lucky enough to have great weather. Empty city streets and beautiful light – a great combination. Then off to Hawksmoor Guildhall for their celebrations.
Sam & John
Late into the evening at their 30 Pavilion Road wedding, their live band kicked the dancing off and this is a shot of Sam & John’s first dance.
