Birthday Bash at Royal Pavilion Brighton

John threw Jayne a wonderful Birthday Bash at Royal Pavilion Brighton in late September – it was a year in the planning and a big secret until they arrived in Brighton. John had chosen to return to Brighton Pavilion where they’d married 10 years earlier and so it was a poignant and very special return for them both to celebrate Jayne’s 40th. All their closest family and friends were in on the secret and John had arranged for them all to be transported down to Brighton by coach. As their guests started arriving, they were welcomed into the Pavilion’s Red Drawing Room, the very room John & Jayne were married in, with flowing bubbles and tasty treats.

Between birthday hugs and catching up, there was a superb caricaturist and amazing magician who was getting ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ from entertained guests before tours of the Pavilion started with one of their expert guides and some photo opportunities in the grand Music Room. After all the activity, a lavish dinner was laid on for guests upstairs in the William IV Room, a stunningly beautiful room with hand-painted Chinese walls of exotic birds and flowers – lush!

After speeches and birthday toasts, dinner started and the evening went on. John – hats off to you for arranging such a great night without Jayne even getting a hint of what was going on. Well done – and thanks for choosing me to cover your celebrations. If you’re getting married or hosting an event at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. Here are a few photographs from the night.
